Adams Family Photography photographs families and couples in Cape Town. This page explains what personal information we collect when you use one of our private photo galleries, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We follow South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect
- Your email address, if you choose to mark favourites or download photos. We ask for it once, so that your selections stay with you and so your photographer knows whose choices are whose.
- Your favourites and downloads — which photos you marked, and when you downloaded them.
- The photographs themselves, taken at your session.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your information with anyone else.
- We don't send you marketing email. Your email address is used only for your gallery.
- We don't track you across other websites, and the gallery uses no advertising cookies.
- We remove location information from every photo before it is shown or downloaded, so a photo taken at your home doesn't reveal where you live.
Where it is kept
Galleries run on a private server operated by Adams Family Photography, and photographs are backed up to private cloud storage belonging to the business. Galleries are reachable only through the private link you were sent, are not listed anywhere, and are hidden from search engines. A gallery may also be protected by a PIN and may expire on a date your photographer sets.
How long we keep it
Photographs are kept so that your photographer can supply them again if you lose them. Your email address and selections are kept for as long as your gallery exists. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
Your rights
You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email photos@studychommie.co.za and we will action it.
